Hi, and welcome to my pages on UNIX, kites, motorcycles, hockey, Star Trek, and other strange and wonderful things.
A little history about me. I have about nine years behind a keyboard working first on Digital VAX/VMS. Then, they MADE me learn UNIX! I know, what cruelty. Fortunately, I have grown to love all the different flavors of UNIX (well, most of them ...) that I have come into contact with. I have taught myself PERL, DNS, DCL, HTML, sh, ksh, and csh. I have attended classes on system management for Digital, SUN, and someday may get the AIX class. I have been certified for Solaris 2.x System Adminstration.
I think I would be happy to just sit and learn more and more if I didn't have to pay bills. After looking at different sites, and seeing different ways of doing things, I put this web page together to let others learn, to give myself some practice, and to hopefully give others a link to sites that I have found very useful in my job and for learning how to build a web page.
Well, even more important to me than computers is my wife. I met the greatest woman I have ever known over the internet. We were married in February of 2002 after dating for about a year and two months. She is so perfect for me and I for her. I've put some pictures of the wedding here.
